Role: Observational Research Scientist Company: A Global Biopharmaceutical Company Location: Remote, UK Contract: A 12-month contract with the possibility of extension!
About the Role This role focuses on leveraging real-world data (RWD) to support the lifecycle of therapeutic products across various functional areas.
As part of the Center for Observational Research (CFOR), you will contribute to designing, planning, and delivering studies that advance healthcare insights and outcomes.
Key Responsibilities Develop Statistical Analysis Plans (SAPs) and guide data analysts in utilizing RWD assets.
Conduct studies using internal databases and registries, interpreting results to inform decision-making.
Contribute to research strategies within product teams and therapeutic areas.
Stay updated on advancements in epidemiology, drug development, and healthcare RWD.
Promote awareness and application of epidemiologic methods and RWD within the organization.
Communicate scientific findings effectively to diverse audiences.
Qualifications Basic Requirements : Master's degree in Epidemiology or a related field with significant epidemiological content.
Experience in epidemiological research.
Expertise in designing, executing, and analyzing epidemiology studies in pharmaceutical or public health contexts.
Proficiency in using large healthcare databases (e.g., UK Biobank, CPRD, HES, or THIN).
Skilled in statistical software (e.g., SAS, R) and epidemiological project planning and management.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of peer-reviewed publications.
Experience working in multidisciplinary teams.
