Trade Counter Assistant - Power Tools

Job description We are looking to recruit a full time, experienced Trade Counter Sales Person to join our team.
We are a well-established family run business in Preston specialising in the sale of Industrial Power Tools & Architectural Ironmongery, serving public & trade for over 30 years.
Job Role includes: Serving customers on the trade counter Advising customers on the right products based on their needs Sales order entry on the computer system Electronic Stock Management (stock taking, booking orders in, adding new products etc.)
Processing payments via Card & Cash Placing orders with suppliers Raising purchase orders Dealing with sales enquiries via phone, email or face to face Visiting customers and potential customers when necessary to deliver orders and generate sales Merchandising in the shop & showroom Some manual handling General housekeeping Skills/Qualities required: Experience in Power & Hand Tools is essential Computer literacy skills including sending emails, using supplier websites and using our EPOS system with relevant training Reliable & hard working Must be approachable and have a positive attitude Must be able to use own initiative Willing to learn Hours: Monday Friday 7.30am 4.30pm OR 8am 5pm (alternate weeks) Saturdays 8.00am 12.00pm (every other week alternative) Holidays: 20 days holiday PLUS Bank Holidays & Christmas break.
