Kier Group are looking for an MEP Quantity Surveyor to join KME which is our internal, self delivery MEP business that works closely with the Kier Build team.
Location: Lancaster, Lancashire.
Contract : Permanent – Full Time.
What will you be responsible for?
As an MEP Quantity Surveyor, you'll be working within the Mechanical and Electrical Team, supporting them managing the commercial resources of the assigned project to maximise planned gross margin through the placement and control of contracts and subcontracts.
Your day to day will include: Comply with the procurement strategy set out from the beginning of the project.
Valuation and measuring of change.
Advising on legal and contractual matters on orders and change Valuation of project and subcontract progress.
Undertaking procurement activities including subcontract enquires, tender reviews and order production.
What are we looking for?
This role of MEP Quantity Surveyor is great for you if: Qualified, at degree level or HND/HNC (or similar) in Quantity Surveying or can demonstrate suitable experience.
Hold SMSTS / CSCS card and maintain renewals.
Experienced surveyor used to working within a site environment.
Clear understanding of all main forms of contract JCT, NEC etc We're all about finding potential here at Kier, and transferrable skills are always welcome!
