Rocket Staffing is recruiting on behalf of a leading tree management company to help safeguard the National Grid by managing tree growth around critical powerlines.
Our Client: We work with a leading utility management company, partnering with the National Grid to survey and manage vegetation encroaching on powerlines.

Role Responsibilities As a UA5 Surveyor, your key duties will include: Conducting surveys of trees and vegetation near overhead powerlines, ensuring compliance with National Grid safety protocols.
Assessing the proximity of vegetation to powerlines and identifying areas where trimming or removal is required to maintain public safety.
Preparing detailed reports and recommendations based on your surveys, working closely with arboricultural teams and project managers.
Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, particularly those related to UA5 qualifications and working near high-voltage equipment.
Traveling to various locations across the UK, often in rural or remote areas, to perform surveys.
Essential Requirements UA5 Qualification certified to work safely near powerlines and overhead electrical systems.
Full UK Driving License required for traveling to multiple sites across the UK.
Previous experience in utility vegetation management or a similar role, especially near electrical infrastructure.
A good understanding of tree growth patterns and their impact on powerline safety.
Strong attention to detail and excellent observational skills.
Desirable Skills Knowledge of various tree species and their growth rates in relation to powerline safety.
Experience using GIS mapping tools or other survey technology.
Excellent report-writing skills, with the ability to communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
