Job Description
Due to staff retirements and ahead of the new breeding season, Godolphin is seeking to recruit 4 dedicated and passionate Stud Hand's to work across our Newmarket studs. Reporting to the Stud Groom, the job holders will be responsible for horse care and stud maintenance.
A normal day will involve being responsible for the care and welfare of our thoroughbred breeding stock, including handling of mares/foals/youngstock, grooming, mucking out and assisting the vet/ farrier. Plus ensuring a high standard of stud maintenance, including paddock maintenance, machinery operation and maintenance, hedge trimming and lawn mowing.
Qualifications
Full driving licence
Stud and Yearling experience
Knowledge and understanding of thoroughbreds and breeding
Good communication skills
Enthusiasm – this role will suit someone with a great attitude who wants to learn
