  Job title: QA Compliance Coordinator (Part Time) Reporting to: QA Manager Location: Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk  Hours: 20 hours per week (Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday) The Opportunity Treatt are a trusted ingredients manufacturer and solutions provider to the global flavour, fragrance and consumer goods markets.
The Quality Assurance department is part of the Validation group that ensures the quality, safety, authenticity and legality of the products offered by Treatt.
The company is certified to several different assurance schemes such at the British Retail Consortium Global Standard for Food Safety, ISO 9001, Kosher and Halal.
The Quality Assurance Compliance Coordinator ensures our products meet the required quality standards through the maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS), the investigation of non-conformities and internal auditing.

The people and the culture create a fantastic company to be part of" – Rebecca, Customer Care Team Leader What you'll be doing The responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to: Investigation of complaints and internal non-conformities through administering the complaint and Corrective and Preventive action (CAPA) systems.
Investigation of the non-conformity using root cause analysis.
Working with other teams to implement short-term corrective, and longer-term preventative actions resulting from the investigation.
Writing official letters to acknowledge and close customer complaints.
Taking part in regular reviews of the CAPA and complaint systems.
Verify that CAPAs are closed and that actions have been completed as part of the CAPA verification programme.
Assist in the maintenance of 3 rd party certification held by the group, such as the BRCGS Global Standard for Food Safety.
To write and review procedures to support the QMS and prerequisite programme.
Carrying out hygiene inspections of the site as part of the QA teams Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) audit programme as per the QA schedule.
This may include auditing of the night shift in rotation with the other QA coordinators (at most 1 audit every 6 months).
Be a member of the internal audit team and carry out internal audits as per the QA schedule.
Manage packaging trials held by the company by initiating the trials, performing periodic monitoring of packaging condition arranging testing and reporting of trial results.
Providing support to the QA team during audits of the company.
What we're looking for If you have a genuine passion for what you do and want to work in an environment that celebrates progress, teamwork and dedication, you're what we're after.
· Previous experience of working in a quality assurance or related role (minimum 3 years).
· Knowledge of BRCGS Food Safety Standards or experience working with Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) benchmarked standards.
· A track record of successful team working in a manufacturing environment.
· Training in HACCP principles and Food Hygiene.
· Use of Microsoft office is required.
Experience of ERP systems such as JD Edwards is desirable.
