Key Responsibilities: Deliver advocacy and legal advice on Housing Conditions cases, particularly where Landlords have failed to adhere to repairs by Court Order or agreed settlements.
Represent clients in hearings related to Housing Conditions, with opportunities to handle substantive cases.
Assist in drafting Particulars of Claim (PoCs), pleadings, skeleton arguments, and provide formal and informal legal advice to fee-earning staff.
Conduct civil advocacy.
Keep up to date with procedural changes, case law, and legislative developments relating to Housing Conditions, including Sections 9, 10, and 11 of the Landlord and Tenant Act.
Ensure that a high-quality, professional advocacy service is delivered to all clients.
Engage in continuous professional development and contribute to team growth.
Requirements: Qualified Barrister or Solicitor with Higher Rights of Audience for civil advocacy.
Strong knowledge of Housing Law, particularly relating to Housing Conditions.
Experience in drafting legal documents including pleadings, advices, and skeleton arguments.
Excellent advocacy skills with a proven ability to represent clients in court.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a legal team.
