Role Overview As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will join our client's Essex team to support the delivery of key projects and manage costs effectively from inception to completion.

Key Responsibilities Cost Management: Oversee the financial aspects of projects, managing budgets, valuations, and ensuring cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
Contract Management: Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients, ensuring compliance and resolving any contractual disputes.
Project Planning: Support the project team by preparing project budgets, forecasts, and financial statements to ensure the project stays on track.
Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks associated with project costs and timelines.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with the project and site teams to align on goals, ensure efficiency, and deliver high-quality results.
Reporting: Prepare and present regular progress and financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.
Compliance: Ensure all projects comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Requirements Qualifications: Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
RICS accreditation is desirable.
Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally within residential construction or housebuilding.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in quantity surveying software and Microsoft Office.
Strong knowledge of construction contracts and procurement processes.
Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with the ability to communicate effectively across teams.
Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to budgeting, cost analysis, and reporting.
