Senior Quantity Surveyor Location: Chelmsford (Must be local) Salary: £50 - £55k per year - Car/Car Allowance Job Type: Full time - Hybrid If you are a skilled Quantity Surveyor ready to take on challenging projects within a collaborative and dynamic framework and are looking to take your career to the next level in a senior role, we encourage you to apply for this rewarding opportunity.We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Quantity Surveyor.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in managing large-scale commercial projects and extensive experience with tier 1 main contractors.
The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be instrumental in ensuring that all commercial aspects of our projects are executed with efficiency and precision.
Key responsibilities include pricing project work, maintaining cost control, managing contractor relationships, and actively engaging with our end client and various stakeholders.
Project Scope:Projects will range in value from £1 million to £10 million, focusing on various commercial refurbishment and construction services, including but not limited to:Roofing SchemesHV/LV ReplacementsBrickwork Repairs and RebuildsInternal Refurbishments and DecorationsFireproofing InstallationsCivil Works and Drainage SolutionsKey Responsibilities:Conduct detailed pricing on projects ranging from £1 million to £10 millionManage and collaborate with supply chain partners across the designated regional areaPrepare subcontract documentation and manage the procurement of subcontract packagesAssess and process subcontractor payments, including liabilitiesOversee the management of Defined Cost and maintain pain/gain trackingRepresent the company in client and supply chain meetings, upholding professionalism and fostering positive relationshipsQualifications & Skills:Experience: Demonstrated commercial experience with a tier 1 contractor is essentialEducation: Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalentContract Knowledge: Proficient in JCT D&B and NEC contract formsCommunication: Strong ability to engage effectively with clients, stakeholders, subcontractors, and third partiesTechnical Skills: Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, with an emphasis on Excel and Project ECS Recruitment Group Ltd is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
