Senior Nursery Practitioner

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Senior Nursery Practitioner to join our team and play a key role in leading and supporting our nursery staff in delivering high-quality care and education.
The successful candidate will be passionate about early years education, committed to childrens development, and able to provide guidance to junior practitioners.
Key Responsibilities: Lead and Support: Oversee day-to-day activities, mentor junior practitioners, and assist the Room Leader in managing the room and ensuring a positive, engaging learning environment.
EYFS Implementation: Develop and deliver age-appropriate activities aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, fostering childrens physical, social, and cognitive development.
Child Observation and Assessment: Conduct regular observations, monitor progress, and complete developmental assessments, updating records in line with nursery policies.
Parent Engagement: Build strong relationships with parents and caregivers, providing regular updates on childrens progress and addressing any concerns.
Safeguarding and Health & Safety: Ensure all safeguarding policies and health and safety regulations are followed, creating a safe and secure environment for children.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with the nursery team to maintain high standards of care and contribute to continuous improvement in the nurserys operations.
Requirements: Qualifications: Level 3 Diploma in Childcare or equivalent; Pediatrics First Aid certified.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in an early years setting, with a background in mentoring or leading other staff preferred.
Skills: Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to manage and motivate a team.
