Senior Legal Counsel - Data Privacy Expert H&P are working with a MAJOR player within the technology sector, who are keen to expand their UK legal operations with the addition of a new Senior Legal Counsel to help with all EMEA Data Privacy matters for the business.

This role involves providing strategic legal advice on a wide array of privacy matters across multiple regions, including the UK, EU, US, and Asia.
The focus will be on supporting internal stakeholders by ensuring compliance with privacy regulations across various markets.
You will collaborate closely with commercial, product, and engineering teams to support the development of innovative AI products and features.
Key responsibilities include advising on online marketing activities to ensure compliance with UK and international laws, keeping abreast of evolving privacy legislation, and assisting the company in implementing new legal requirements.
You will also play a key role in reviewing and negotiating supplier agreements that have specific privacy implications, as well as contributing to the company's long-term data protection strategy.
Developing and updating internal policies and conducting privacy-related training sessions will also be part of your remit.
Profile UK or US-qualified lawyer with at least 5+ years of experience advising on privacy matters, ideally as in-house counsel with prior experience in private practice.
Strong knowledge of GDPR, UK privacy laws, and a good understanding of global privacy regulations, including those in the US.
Proven experience working with cross-functional teams and in an international, multicultural environment.
Experience within a global tech company is highly desirable.
Ability to manage multiple projects, work independently, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
