Law Absolute Limited – London, Greater London A local authority based in North-West London is seeking a Senior Childcare Lawyer Advocate on a permanent basis.

The salary range for the role is £55,155 - £61,617 p.a.
inc. London Weighting.
The contractual hours per week are 36 and you will be required to attend the council offices and court in this role.
The Position: The Senior Childcare Lawyer Advocate will be required to undertake the following: Actively support the management of the department.
Provide high level and proactive expert legal advice on children's social services law to the Council, its members, and officers.
Be a point of contact for members and senior officers on legal matters pertaining to Children public law.
Attend court or tribunals or public inquiries as a Senior Advocate and conduct high-quality advocacy in the High Court, Family Court, Coroners Court, including all hearings up to trial and appeals and including complex hearings.
Monitor the quality of work undertaken by the team.

The successful Senior in-house advocate – Child Care will possess: A current practising certificate (either as a Barrister, Solicitor, or Legal Executive).
A can-do attitude with the confidence to lead a team.
Strong experience in all matters relating to children's social services law.
Ability to anticipate problems and solve them accordingly.
Dependable and self-reliant.
Excellent advocacy experience.
