A highly reputable, independent SEN secondary school located in the Towcester/Silverstone area is seeking a dedicated SEN Support Officer to join its permanent team starting in January 2025 or sooner.

Position: SEN Support Officer Salary: £24,420 - £28,060 per annum (dependent on relevant qualifications and experience) Contract: Permanent, Full-Time Start Date: January 2025 or sooner Key Responsibilities: Provide tailored support to students with a range of special educational needs, ensuring their individual learning and emotional needs are met.
Assist in the planning and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers and specialists.
Offer 1:1 and group support to students, helping them to engage fully in the curriculum.
Support the monitoring and assessment of student progress, keeping accurate records of their development and well-being.
Collaborate with parents, carers, and external agencies to promote the best outcomes for students.
Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive school environment that encourages personal growth and academic achievement.
Contribute to the wider school community through involvement in extracurricular activities and pastoral care.
Requirements: Experience working with students who have special educational needs (SEN), ideally within a secondary school environment.
Relevant qualifications in SEN support, teaching assistance, or related fields (such as a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent).
A compassionate and patient approach, with the ability to build trusting relationships with students, staff, and parents.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
A proactive and flexible attitude, with excellent organisational skills.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
A valid Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one prior to appointment).
