Join our dedicated team at the Young Persons Secure Service in South Gloucestershire, where we provide support to young individuals in a safe, secure, and nurturing environment.
As a Waking Night Support Worker , you will play a crucial role in ensuring the wellbeing and safety of the young people in our care throughout the night.
Your responsibilities will include monitoring and providing emotional and practical support, assisting with any needs that arise, and promoting a positive, structured environment.
Key Responsibilities: Provide consistent, high-quality support to young people during night-time hours Monitor and assess the young people's welfare, ensuring their safety and comfort Support with any night-time routines and personal care needs as required Assist with behavioural management and offer guidance where necessary Maintain clear and accurate records, documenting any incidents or concerns What we're looking for: A compassionate, empathetic individual with the ability to engage with young people in a positive and professional manner Experience in supporting young people in a care or residential setting (desirable but not essential) Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to remain calm and proactive in challenging situations Willingness to work flexible hours, including waking night shifts You'll need right to work within the UK Happy to take out a DBS or have one on the update service Be able to provide references to cover the past 3 years We offer: Competitive pay of £15.98 per hour Comprehensive training and development opportunities A supportive and inclusive working environment The chance to make a real difference to the lives of young people If you're ready to take on a rewarding role where you can help shape futures and provide support when it's needed most, we'd love to hear from you!
