We are the principal treatment centre in the south west for haematology and oncology and an international referral centre for bone marrow transplant.
We have 17 cubicles and predominately care for 0-12 year olds.There is a robust ward induction and a thorough and supportive supernumerary period.
On starlight we have a passion for education and a Clinical Skills Facilitator to support upskilling and competencies available for all nurses.We have an In-house educational programme including introduction to cancer, regional programme and chemotherapy training plus external learning opportunities including conference attendance, university courses and modules.
