Job Title: Quantity Surveyor Location: Essex, UK Job Type: Permanent Salary: £35,-£45, dependent on experience My client is a well-established utilities and construction company based in Essex and working on projects through the South.
Due to expansion they are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team.
Role Overview: As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be instrumental in managing the financial aspects of our client's projects.
This role offers the chance to work on busy projects within a supportive and professional environment.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for upcoming projects Oversee cost control and financial management throughout project lifecycles Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers Conduct risk assessments and provide financial advice to stakeholders Collaborate closely with project managers to ensure projects are completed within budget and on time Prepare regular financial reports and maintain accurate records Candidate Requirements: Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally within the utilities or construction sectors NEC4 Experience Strong knowledge of cost estimation, budgeting, and financial control procedures Excellent analytical and numerical skills Proficient in relevant software applications Strong negotiation and communication skills Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field is preferred What's On Offer: Competitive salary ranging from £35, to £45, per annum Opportunity to work with a leading company in the industry Professional development and career progression opportunities Supportive team culture and collaborative working environment Additional company benefits and generous holiday entitlement FOOTNOTE: If you feel that you are right for this role technically, but the salary, location or seniority does not suit you specifically then please still feel free to send us your CV.
