Description Our Legal team are now looking for a solicitor to join their exciting and growing department, where the right candidate can work alongside senior solicitors and partners to provide a holistic service to clients combining bespoke legal and tax advice.
The candidate will be joining an experienced legal team comprising 12 solicitors and a paralegal, working on a range of specialisms including tax, private client, corporate, immigration services and share schemes.
This role will support the private client legal team and work closely alongside our substantial well established private client tax team.
The successful candidate will have experience working with a varied portfolio involving a mix of domestic and private client work including Wills, probate and all aspects of estate administration, LPA's, tax, trusts and advising high net worth individuals.

In September 2015the firm was granted a licence to provide legal services by the Solicitors Regulation Authority, making it the first medium sized accounting firm to receive such a licence.
Key Responsibilities Work within a team of mixed discipline which includes accountants, IFAs and tax specialists.
Assist with the administration of deceased estates (both testate and intestate).
Will drafting, including the limitation of its territorial scope and the inclusion of various trusts such as those containing business assets or a life interest trust.
Display sound knowledge and experience in a wide variety of trust matters (Charitable, Discretionary, IIPs, Old A&M trusts, onshore and Excluded Property trusts) to include the set up, administration and taxation of such trusts.
Advising HNW (£2-20m) and UHNW (£20m +) individuals including owner managed businesses.
Powers of Attorney (including registration and administration).
Post death variations & Deeds of Family arrangement.
Develop and maintain a good working relationship with clients and colleagues.
Demonstrate the commercial acumen required to further existing client relationships, meeting with clients and third parties as required, preferably with a willingness to prepare comments and articles on salient private client topics for publication in trade and national press.
Essential Skills & Expertise At least 5-6 years' post-qualification experience.
Demonstrable experience specialising in private client law, ideally with a capital tax focus Working knowledge of onshore private client work.
Sound tax knowledge especially in IHT and CGT.
Experience in dealing with complex multi jurisdictional probates (eg France, Spain, Switzerland, Poland, Australia and New Zealand) will be beneficial.
Experience of dealing with a Trust Corporation.
A competent knowledge and experience of dealing with clients who have multi jurisdictional Wills and be aware of the conflicts relating to issues of tax and laws of succession for such clients.
A working knowledge of the application of Brussels IV.
