Job Title: Police Staff Investigator PIP1 (Major Crime) - HC619286   Location: Eastern PIC, Portsmouth   Salary: Scale 5/6 - £29,109 - £34,329 per annum   Hours: 37 hours per week   Contract : Permanent   Closing Date: Sunday 8th December 2024 at 23.59 hours Are you a lateral thinker who thrives in a fast paced, time driven environment and are committed to making Hampshire and Isle of Wight a safer place for people to live?
If so we are looking for someone to join our team based in the Eastern PIC but working across the Force.
As part of the team you will support the officer in case to gather evidence to ascertain whether a person should be charged with an offence and assist in building the case for trial.
You will be taking witness statements, collating and reviewing CCTV as well as operating as exhibits officer in numerous cases.
As you become more experienced you will be encouraged to take a lead in elements of the enquiry appropriate to your grade.

Essential Experience Demonstrable experience of complex information gathering and problem solving.
A detailed understanding of the criminal justice system.
