Plumber

Job description Houghton & Son Ltd is a well-established, family-run business based in Chelmsford, providing high-quality building, electrical, and retrofit services.
Due to our continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and reliable Plumber to join our dynamic team on a self-employed basis.
Key Responsibilities: Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, and fittings in residential and commercial properties.
Carry out inspections and diagnostics of plumbing systems to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
Work closely with clients to understand their requirements and deliver a high standard of service.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and industry best practices.
Requirements: Proven experience as a plumber, with relevant qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing and Heating).
Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, installation techniques, and troubleshooting.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Experience within social housing properties.
Own tools.
Full driving licence and access to own transport.
Job Type: Full-time Pay: £180.00-£210.00 per day Office is based in Chelmsford but we have got various sites in Southend and Colchester, so travelling should be expected.
