This full-time clinical academic training post is based at BristolDental School with clinical training primarily at University Hospitals Bristoland Weston NHS Foundation Trust.
We welcome applications from candidates whohave completed a PhD or equivalent doctoral research degree and who wish tocombine post-doctoral research training linked to specialty training in oralsurgery OR who have a PhD and CCST in orthodontics who wish to combinepost-doctoral academic training with post-CCT training in orthodontics.Theclinical training programme will follow the curriculum recommended by the SACin Oral Surgery OR post-CCT orthodontics and is designed to fulfil therequirements of the General Dental Council leading to a certificate ofcompletion of specialist training.
The post will give a wide experience ofservices within an NHS organisation which will be integral to the appropriateManaged Clinical Network.
The expected outcome of the clinical trainingprogramme is the preparation for a successful outcome in the specialtymembership examination (for Oral Surgery) and the award of a CCST in OralSurgery or completion of post-CCST training in orthodontics and eligibility toapply for an NHS consultant post.
