Legal Counsel - Shipping

A global marine energy company is seeking a 1-3 PQE Shipping/Commodities lawyer to join the team in London.

The Legal Counsel will be responsible for:
Drafting and negotiating a wide variety of contracts including: general terms and conditions, supply agreements, and cargo sale/purchase contractsAdvising on vessel ownership issues such as fleet insurance renewals, vessel registrations, ship management agreements, and crewing issues.Advising on regulatory developments in shipping and marine energy.Advising on developments relating to LNG bunkering, alternative fuels, emissions trading, and carbon neutral bunkering.Advising on and resolving significant claims and commercial disputes.Instructing and managing external counsel.This position is ideal for a 1-3 PQE Shipping Associate looking to make the move in-house, into a business offering good support from Senior Counsel as well as a genuine work/life balance.
