OVERVIEW OF ROLE Become part of a strong, dynamic legal team of five at a rapidly growing organisation with a global perspective.
This role provides an exciting opportunity to shape and influence legal strategies across multiple jurisdictions.
We're looking for a commercially minded, proactive individual to play a pivotal role in enabling the company's growth and supporting innovative solutions in an ever-evolving regulatory environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES Lead cross-border initiatives, such as multi-jurisdictional licensing and international expansion.
Research and advise on international regulatory frameworks and multi-jurisdictional legal issues.
Instruct and manage external counsel and third-party advisors worldwide.
Oversee/manage dispute resolution matters.
Serve as a key advisor to the business's risk and compliance functions, specifically regarding: Financial crime issues (e.g., AML, CTF, sanctions compliance) Regulatory compliance and risk management (e.g., capital adequacy, operational resilience) Oversee and manage standard agreements, critical company documents, and policies (including data protection).
Review and provide input on marketing materials, website content, and branding.
Manage the protection of intellectual property rights.
Advise on initiatives such as product development and new business offerings.
Obtain and review guidance from external counsel and ensure implementation of relevant requirements in the business.
Serve as an escalation point and provide oversight for the team's senior paralegal.
COMPETENCIES & EXPERIENCE Strong academic background and solid legal training, gained in private practice or in-house.
2–4 years PQE as a qualified solicitor.
Demonstrated ability to deliver clear, concise, and practical legal advice.
Ability to maintain professionalism under pressure.
A self-starter with a passion to learn and make a meaningful impact in a fast-growing, dynamic business.
Excellent written communication and verbal presentation skills.
A collaborative approach and commitment to an inclusive work environment.
Desirable: Prior in-house experience (whether on secondment or otherwise) and experience in the financial services sector.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION We work on a hybrid basis with Monday and Friday from home and Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from our office in central London.
