Junior Estimator

Junior Estimator required to join a well-established Engineering company that is based in the Littlebury area.
The Junior Estimator will assist in preparing accurate cost estimates and maintain good customer relationships, supporting the Estimating Department in achieving competitive and profitable project bids.
This role is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career professional who is eager to grow their skills in estimation and cost control within an engineering industry.
Junior Estimator Job Overview Assist in Estimation Process: Support senior estimators in gathering, calculating, and compiling data for use in bid proposals, such as labour, material, and time requirements.
Cost Evaluation: Assist in preparing cost estimates by reviewing vendor and subcontractor quotations, negotiating rates, and confirming specifications.
Document Preparation: Prepare and maintain detailed, organized records of all estimated data, including bid proposals, subcontractor lists, and project documentation.
Collaborate with Project Teams: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure all aspects of a project are accounted for in the bid and estimate process.
Junior Estimator Job Requirements Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field would be preferred Experience: 0-2 years of experience in estimating, cost engineering, or a similar field (internship experience is a plus).
Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word) Analytical Skills: Strong mathematical and analytical skills to accurately estimate costs and project requirements.
Attention to Detail: Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to handle multiple estimates simultaneously.
Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills for collaboration with team members and clients.
