Human Resources Business Partner, Global R&D Location: UK - Maidstone Job Family: Human Resources Time Type: Full time Job Requisition ID: R0007082 Experience Years: 5-10 Years of Experience Employee Type: Regular About the Opportunity As a trusted partner to business leaders, you will consult and take action in the areas of people leader coaching, organizational design & effectiveness, talent management, career development, strategic workforce planning, and change leadership. The ideal candidate will contribute at both hands-on and strategic levels to cultivate an agile and innovative culture. The ideal candidate will bring creative and effective ideas and solutions to their assigned organizations. Human Resources Business Partners (HRBPs) are responsible for providing proactive strategic support to assigned business leaders through the effective and successful execution of HR initiatives designed to enable and support the mid-and long term strategies of the business.
Responsibilities • Enable the effective diagnosis of business issues / strategy and goals, turning these into talent strategies, with integrated solutions that deliver against key business priorities and which drive a high-performance culture (supported by rigorous data analysis)
• Translate the strategic and tactical business plans into critical HR actions & initiatives
• Manage and facilitate organizational design and development, leadership coaching, and team building that supports change and growth
• Accountable for strategic workforce planning and activating capability development plans
• Evaluate and advise client groups on how to leverage HR programs or strategies that will positively impact the business
• Provide HR support and coaching to leaders on HR policies and processes, people management, and career development
• Support the HR functional teams (i.e. talent, total rewards, etc.) with large scale HR initiatives and annual processes
• Act as a change agent and lead key change management initiatives for assigned business teams
• Accountable for understanding the strategic direction and goals of the Shared Services Functions and driving collaboration with other HR teams
• Challenge, provoke and coach business leaders on how to engage colleagues, address people issues and build people capabilities effectively
• Participate within the broader HR team to drive HR projects and initiatives
Key Success Indicators:
• Business Unit People initiatives implemented with measurable results & achieved intended outcomes
• Adoption of HR/People programs & processes complete with supporting ADKAR scores/results (business & change readiness)
• Talent/People Agenda targets achieved
• Completion of succession and talent to watch development plans
• Percentage of cost of the BU workforce
• Employee engagement metrics
• BU Strategic Priorities Project plan(s) KPI's (speed of execution, costs, ROI analysis)
Candidate Profile Required Skills
• Demonstrates solid judgment and experience assessing human capital risks relative to the business
• Demonstrated project management and change management capabilities
• Effective communication and problem-solving skills
• Strong business & HR acumen
• Capable of establishing relationships & collaborating across teams
• Highly experienced using data to identify insights that drive action
• Experience helping global and/or matrixed organizations scale
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law with ability to independently manage employee relations cases and facilitate business leaders through the process
• Preferred but not required: knowledge of European employment law in the countries of Netherlands, Morocco, Spain and Portugal
Qualifications:
• 6-10+ years' experience in an HR Business Partner or equivalent role
• BA/BS degree preferred
