Gama Aviation is currently seeking skilled and quick-thinking First Officers to join our Special Mission Flight Crew for our prestigious charity partner, Air Ambulance Charity Essex & Herts (EHAAT). With a minimum requirement of 500 flight hours, you'll have the opportunity to contribute directly to life-saving missions as part of a multi-pilot operation flying AW169 helicopters across Essex, Hertfordshire and surrounding areas, day and night. We provide full Type Rating and HEMS/NVIS training for this exciting and dynamic role.

About the Charity:
Air Ambulance Charity Essex & Herts (EHAAT) is a leader in Helicopter Emergency Medical Services (HEMS), providing advanced pre-hospital critical care to the people of Essex, Hertfordshire, and surrounding areas. Operating 24/7, this life-saving service is delivered by helicopters and rapid response vehicles equipped with state-of-the-art technology, ensuring patients receive hospital-level care at the scene of an incident.
Each highly skilled critical care team comprises a pilot and co-pilot, a pre-hospital care doctor, and a critical care paramedic, who work together to bring expert care directly to critically ill and injured patients. Once stabilized, patients are transported to the most appropriate hospital by air or land for further treatment.
EHAAT is a charity that operates entirely free of charge to patients, with no direct government or National Lottery funding. It costs £12 million annually to keep the service running, relying on the extraordinary generosity of individuals, businesses, and communities across Essex and Hertfordshire.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience required: Provide safe, compliant and efficient flight operations in support of HEMS operations Conduct Company duties with diligence and professionalism, and operate in accordance with the Company operations manual and other regulatory requirements Be responsible for actively engaging with the Company safety reporting scheme, taking a pro-active stance on risk management, reporting all reportable occurrences, and reporting any other events which may contribute towards continual improvement in safety Display kindness and professionalism whilst acting as a representative of the Company and actively engage with our charity partners and other industry stakeholders All candidates will be required to hold a UK CAA CPL(H) with ATPL theory exams, or a UK CAA ATPL(H).
