Job summary Marie Curie are seeking a full-time Healthcare Assistant to join our community team in Bristol.

Main duties of the job A healthcare assistant providing end-of-life care in a community-based role supports patients with personal care, such as bathing, dressing, and toileting.
They assist with mobility, administer prescribed medications, and help with eating and drinking.
They also offer emotional support, engage in activities, and ensure patient comfort by maintaining a clean environment.
Additionally, they monitor and report changes in the patients condition to healthcare professionals, contribute to care plans, and respect patient dignity and confidentiality.

Job description Job responsibilities Marie Curie is the UKs leading end-of-life charity.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) Level 2 in Health and Social Care OR an equivalent alternative Level 2 Qualification NCFE level 2 Certificate in Healthcare Support Services, BTEC level 2 Health and Social Care.
Functional skills at level 2 in numeracy and literacy or equivalent Desirable National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) Level 3 in Health and Social Care OR an acceptable, alternative Level 3 Qualification Basic Food Hygiene Certificate Experience Essential 6 Months care delivery experience (current) in a Health or Social Care Environment.
Desirable Recent professional experience of providing care and caring for dying patients.
