The Opportunity: As Head LCV Sales, you will be responsible for driving the profitability, performance and operational excellence of Hendy's Light Commercial Vehicle business across the Group with the added responsibility for the P&L at the flagship site in Eastleigh.
The role will include both strategic and operational focus to ensure sales, profitability, and customer satisfaction targets are achieved.
This role includes managing stock levels, optimising stock turn, leveraging online platforms, as well as developing and implementing a strategic sales plan, leading a high-performing sales team, and establishing strong relationships with key stakeholders, including dealerships, fleet customers, and business partners.
Reporting into the Commercial Operations Director, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring market leadership in the LCV sector.
The Accountabilities: Strategic Sales Leadership: Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies.Stock Management: Oversee stock acquisition, distribution, and management processes to balance inventory levels and maximise profitability.Stock Turn Optimisation: Drive efficiencies to improve stock turn.Working Capital Control: Manage stock investment levels to ensure optimal working capital utilisation.Group Pricing: Define and implement group-wide pricing strategies to maximise revenue.Team Management: Lead and mentor the LCV sales team to achieve and exceed targets, and create a high performing culture.Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships, oversee negotiations, and act as a trusted advisor.Manufacturers Objectives and Communication: Monitor and report on manufacturer objectives, and act as the primary point of contact.Dealer and Partner Engagement: Work closely with dealership networks to ensure consistent performance and negotiate and manage contracts with strategic partners.About You: Proven experience in a sales leadership role within the automotive or LCV industry.A strong track record of delivering commercial success and operational excellence.Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to use data to inform decisions and drive results.Outstanding leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop teams.A customer-focused mindset, with a passion for delivering an exceptional experience.Excellent communication and relationship building skills.Strong commercial acumen.What We Offer: A competitive salary with a performance-related bonus.Access to the car benefit scheme.Comprehensive benefits, including pension, healthcare, and more.Base location flexible within region.A collaborative and innovative working environment.Opportunities for professional growth and career progression within a leading automotive group.Why Hendy Group?
