This is an excellent opportunity for a senior litigator to lead and expand the firm's contentious trust and probate practice while benefiting from strong career progression and development.The Role:As the Head of Contentious Probate, you will manage and grow a busy caseload of contentious probate matters, handling complex litigation in areas such as contested wills, trusts, and inheritance disputes.
You will provide leadership and support to junior colleagues, oversee financial controls, maintain high standards of quality, and contribute to business development.
The role will involve building and maintaining client relationships, focusing on winning new business through referrals and networking.You will work within a collaborative environment that offers ample opportunities for professional growth.Key Responsibilities:Manage a caseload of contentious probate, trusts, and inheritance disputesLead business development efforts and build client relationshipsSupport colleagues during bottlenecks or absencesProvide litigation support across a range of Wills, Trusts, and Probate mattersMaintain high financial and quality standardsAttend departmental meetings and contribute to team goalsStay updated on technology and case management systemsAbout You:The ideal candidate will have:At least 3 years PQE in contentious probate mattersProven success in business development and winning new clientsStrong communication skills and a collaborative approachA proactive, driven attitude with the ability to manage complex litigationExperience with court appearances in the County Court, Court of Protection, and High CourtExisting ACTAPS membership or willingness to study for itThis is a unique opportunity to take a leading role in a growing team with a focus on high quality work and career advancement.
