The RoleWe are looking for a Head of Business Development to support our commercial growth by expanding our customer base, identifying new applications for our technology, and implementing go-to-market strategies. This role is ideal for a driven professional eager to make a mark in the biotech industry by helping to bring innovative solutions to the market. You will work closely with sales, marketing, and R&D teams, contributing to the company's growth while playing a critical role in our go-to-market success.
Key ResponsibilitiesGo-to-Market Support: Assist in developing and executing the GtM strategy for Amperia, ensuring smooth market entry and adoption.Market Research: Conduct market analyses to identify promising new applications and market segments for our products within the biotechnology field.Customer Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with key industry players, expanding our customer network and enhancing our visibility in the market.Business Development: Drive business development activities, focusing on lead generation and relationship building. Identify potential partnership opportunities to support growth.Sales Support: Work closely with the sales team to help close high-value deals, leveraging your industry knowledge to address customer needs and objections.Application Identification: Collaborate with the product team to explore and prioritize new applications based on market insights.Reporting: Provide regular updates on business development activities, including market insights, potential partnerships, and customer feedback, to inform strategic decisions.Requirements5+ years of experience in a commercial or business development role within Life Sciences.Master's degree in biology, biochemistry, or a related Life Science field; a PhD is a plus.Proven track record in identifying market opportunities and developing strategic partnerships within biotechnology.Strong network within the biotech sector, including connections in Process Development, Gene & Cell Therapy, and other large molecule modalities.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong customer-centric approach.Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional, team-oriented environment.Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate market insights into actionable strategies.What We OfferA fast-paced, growing environment in a company making a real impact in life science research.Opportunities to work on innovative technology at the intersection of biology, engineering, and data science.Share option scheme and opportunities for career progression.Base salary between £65,000 - £90,000 per annumJoin a passionate, motivated team with a flat hierarchy.Start DateFlexible
