The company is a successful family-run business that's been around for almost 30 years and who've been responsible for providing the raw materials for some of the most recognisable buildings in the UK (and overseas).
They now have an opportunity for a skilled Plant and Equipment Maintenance Fitter to provide planned and preventative maintenance, as well as any reactive needs.
There are NO out of hours callouts.
Your key responsibilities will include: Provide comprehensive mechanical and electrical maintenance support for all machinery and production equipment.
This includes manufacturing equipment, FLT, and the fabric of the site.
Manage and complete all plant and vehicle services, including legal equipment checks.
Implement and oversee preventive maintenance programs.
Order and maintain necessary spares and lubricants.
Address and resolve equipment defects and failures promptly.
Ensure all site maintenance requirements are met, including electrical, lighting, and fire safety.
Maintain accurate documentation for all plant, equipment, and vehicles.
Oversee workshop and storage facility upkeep.
You'll be working with a range of colleagues across 3 sites that are close together, so excellent communication and collaboration skills are necessary to ensure work is done to the correct standard and on time.
