Part Time Domestic Assistant Brighton University £12.58 per hour 20 hours per week We have an opportunity for a Part Time Domestic Assistant to join our Accommodation team at Brighton University.
As a Part Time Domestic Assistant you will be responsible for providing a high-quality cleaning and domestic service in the onsite accommodation.
Your duties will include cleaning communal areas and emptying properties as well as completing a weekly service clean of occupied properties.
There will be some heavy lifting involved.
Joining a team of 4, we are looking for a team player who can use their own initiative to deliver a high-quality service and has experience in a similar role.
The position of Domestic Assistant is referred to internally at Sanctuary, as General Assistant.
The role of Domestic Assistant will include: Providing high quality cleaning services for bedrooms, kitchens, pathways and communal areas Identifying and reporting any hazards and faults to ensure a safe environment is maintained Organising stores on site and carrying out checks of equipment, replacing when necessary Any other general tasks as required by management Skills and experiences: Working knowledge and experience of undertaking general cleaning duties Practical experience in operating cleaning machinery is desirable Ability to work to deadlines, prioritise workloads and work on own initiative Experience of understanding simple verbal instructions and undertaking duties as requested Excellent customer service and communication skills Why work for us?
