My client a leader in the FMCG industry are looking for an experienced financial controller who will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of Income Statement and Balance Sheet for my clients sub group of companies whilst providing insightful financial reporting to help aid decision making and act as line manager within the Finance team, reporting to the Group Finance Director.

PLEASE ONLY APPLY IF YOU ARE BASED IN THE UK AND HAVE UK EXPERIENCE Onsite 3 days per week Must be qualified with a professional accountancy qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) with 5 years post qualified experience The ideal person will have experience of managing , influencing and training teams to achieve goals and objectives • Team development and communication • Organisation and deadline management • Technical competence as will be responsible for balance sheet integrity as well as discussion with advisors and HMRC Main tasks • To act as the Financial Controller responsible for preparation of monthly financial reporting and to ensure that all local and key HQ corporate reporting deadlines are met.
• To manage the monthly Income Statement (Actual and FC reports) within the reporting deadlines for review by Group Finance Director.
• To manage timely and accurate Business Unit Income Statements and balance sheets, with a specific focus on risks and opportunities reporting • To manage timely, accurate and completion of financial information for the purposes of the Annual Budget/Plan process.
• To manage timely and accurate cost centre/Depot expenditure reports for departmental managers within monthly guidelines.
Supply back up information to local management in response to queries on Cost ledger performance reports.
• To manage the ICO Transfer pricing process monthly and yearly in accordance with company procedures and provide HQ with the required information.
Ensure accuracy of all submissions and robust testing of internal controls within all connected departments • To continually look for cost saving and efficiency improvement opportunities in the CU • To continually review, update and test controls to ensure relevance and robustness and to comply with Continental Corporate Standards, comply with Continental FRM and local legislation (e.g.
HMRC) • To support on any adhoc projects and tasks as required by the Group Finance Director and or Managing Director • Oversee Company Banking arrangements and safeguard company assets, working capital and cash ensuring system robust against fraud • To lead CU100 treasury and tax pool activities • To lead members of the Finance Team within responsibility, mentor, guide and facilitate training where necessary under Core Behavior values • To ensure all external reporting (e.g.
HMRC & Companies House filings), compliance and legislative deadline are met where appropriate • To act as facilitator communicator of financial information to wider senior management team, and junior management team
