This leading global manufacturer of specialist coated products has an opportunity for an: Engineering Supervisor.
Job Purpose To support the Engineering Manager to oversee the operational function and maximise service availability through the effective management of the local engineering team enabling the business to meet key performance indicators.

Responsibilities ·       Assist the Engineering Manager to control all safety related issues and schedule engineering workload for the area resulting from various audits across the site.

·       Manage the control of contractor process and permit to work system ensuring full and accurate completion of all documentation.

·       Appraise, motivate, develop and effectively performance manage the engineering staff ensuring delivery against KPI's
·       Forward plan planned shutdown activity in conjunction with Engineering Manager
·       Lead planned shutdown maintenance work
·       Manage the engineering plan via the use of the maintenance computer system, ensuring it is up to date and jobs and repairs from internal & external sources.

·       Engage in continuous improvement activity and facilitate Tullis Russell's continuous improvement process.

·       Keep machine availability above KPI target
·       Analysis of machinery downtime issues using data from the maintenance computer system identifying trends and 'root causes' wherever possible.

·       Support and assist where necessary the engineers in Fault finding and repairing machine issues
·       Design and Install engineering solutions through projects including Capex's
Qualifications ·    Time-served / recognised apprenticeship (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering subject
·     HNC, HND or equivalent in appropriate engineering discipline desirable
·    Experience working within a manufacturing or production environment
·     Experience working as a senior engineer or in a more senior engineering position such as Engineering Supervisor / Engineering Team Leader.

·     Excellent fault-finding skills with an analytical approach
·     Knowledge and application of maintenance management systems (Shire, Pirana Desirable)
