35,000–£45,000+ (negotiable) per year, depending on experience and skillset
Northern Structural Services is a well-established civil & structural engineering consultancy based in the centre of Macclesfield.
Our project portfolio spans bespoke residential designs, complex commercial developments, onshore wind turbine foundations, city-centre structures, and civil engineering works, including below ground drainage design and flood risk assessments.
We also have an established structural survey department.
Ideally, you will have a minimum of 3–5 years of UK-based structural engineering experience; however, we welcome applications from all levels , from apprenticeships to Chartered Engineers, if you demonstrate the right attitude and potential.
Structural design and analysis to current Eurocodes
~ Conducting site inspections and assessments
~ Liaising with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders
~ Managing project timelines, deliverables, and client communication
~(Advantageous) Experience in civil engineering aspects such as drainage design and flood risk assessments
~(Advantageous) Experience in reinforced concrete design & detailing
Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent)
Ideally a minimum of 3–5 years of UK-based structural engineering experience
Proficient in AutoCAD; familiarity with Revit, Tekla Tedds, STAAD Pro, Robot Structural Analysis, CADS RC, or CADS A3D Max is beneficial but not essential
Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle multiple projects
