**Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias) **3-month contract minimumLocation: PrestonRate: Up to £33.00p/h DOE (Limited Co. / Umbrella)40 hours a week, Days (Monday-Friday) + Potential OvertimeFor the position of Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will be required to conduct the following duties:Routine Maintenance: Perform regular inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on electrical systems, including PLCs, motors, control panels, and other electrical equipment.
Troubleshooting: Quickly diagnose and resolve electrical faults to minimize production downtime and ensure smooth operations.
Working to CompEx / Atex regulationsReading from engineering drawings, plans and schematicsDocumentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and system modifications.
Working safely is paramount, installing distribution, 3phase power, cabling, transformers, relays etcMeasuring and testing electrical supply to correct standards and procedures, and Health & SafetyThe successful Electrical Maintenance Engineer will need to have the following attributes:NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering or equivalentProven experience in electrical maintenance within a manufacturing or industrial environment (experience with chemical or similar processes is a plus).
Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work with complex electrical systems and machinery.
