Job DescriptionAs a Day Mechanical Engineer you will be responsible for inspections, repairs, adjustments and maintenance of all related equipment.
You also will be involved continuous improvement projects within the Plant.
As we are a 24/7 operation there maybe instances where you are required to work outside your core hours to ensure the safety of employees and the manufacturing process.
The role is Monday - Friday, days.This role will involve working in a variety of environments around site, it is not a workshop based role and areas you will be working include confined spaces, heights, outside, shop floor and office areas.You should have:Safety and safe working practices as your number one priorityExperience in engineering in a production/ manufacturing environmentExperience utilizing hand and power tools, including but not limited to grinder, drill press, caliper, micrometer, protractor, gauges, wrenches, chisels, files and scrapersBe a qualified mechanically biased engineerAn FLT licence though training will be providedHold IPAF certificationsound attention to detail ensuring right fix, first time and ensure areas you have worked in are left tidy and safeCollaborative approach as you will be required to work across DepartmentsQualificationsTime served in a mechanical engineering disciplineAdditional InformationWe offer:From £17.02 per hour, increasing with qualificationsEnhanced overtime ratesEmployer contribution pension plan (up to 11% contributions)Life Assurance benefit - 4 x Base SalaryCompany Sick PayPerformance based Bonus plan from 0 - 12% of base payAttractive Holiday Allowance Employee Assistance Programme including free benefits for employees, partners and dependants such as counselling sessions and legal advice.Supportive teams to help you grow and learn new skills
