We are fortunate to work alongside a range of specialist nurses who are happy to support & share learning with the teamAs a Band 6 Nurse you would be responsible for supporting the overall daily management of the ward, co-ordinating and leading clinical shifts, providing direct patient care.
The Band 6 role includes rotation onto nights and weekends.There will also be plenty of development opportunities & support to enable you to make the most of the secondment.
If you feel you can bring excellent leadership and clinical skills and have experience of working within respiratory medicine, this senior staff nurse post could be for you.
Act as a clinical expert providing specialist knowledge and advice to both nurses and junior medical staff working within the unit.
Act as a resource to other areas within the Trust as required.Work towards safe and timely discharge plans and ensure barriers to discharge are identified and acted on in a timely and appropriate manner.To be proactive in supporting the nursing team and acting as a positive role model always promoting best clinical and professional practice.Demonstrate excellent communication and leadership skills.
Be actively involved in recruitment and staff development reviews.
