Madisons Recruitment are recruiting for a Estimator/ Surveyor on a permanent basis located in Colchester, Essex.
We are looking for a well rounded Construction Estimator to join our clients team.
You will joining an expanding & successful estimating team, supporting with projects that range form £500,000 - £15m in value and cover a variety of sectors including Education, Commercial, Industrial, Leisure, Healthcare, Retail and Heritage.
You will be based This role is not suitable for those with only residential or fit out estimating backgrounds.
Responsibilities Collaborate with clients and contractors to ensure accurate and efficient project execution.
Prepare detailed reports and documentation Provide expert guidance and solutions to clients, ensuring their needs are met throughout the project lifecycle.
Work closely with the second surveyor and project teams to ensure adherence to project timelines and budgets.
Pricing Tenders value between £500k-£15m Requirements Industry Experience: Previous experience in the construction industry, specifically in commercial, industrial, education, and healthcare projects, is essential.
Experience working for a main contractor with knowledge of JCT and NEC contracts IT Proficiency: Strong IT skills, particularly in Excel.
Technical Expertise: Experience in producing take-offs and Bills of Quantities.
Tender Skills: Competence in rate compilation and basic tender pricing.
Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse and compare subcontractor quotes.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
