Position Overview: This position is ideally suited to an experienced Commercial Lawyer with a passion for technology, intellectual property, and data protection.
This role offers the opportunity to work on high-value, strategic public procurements and contracts, providing non-contentious advice on a broad spectrum of technology projects.
You will collaborate closely with the wider technology and commercial team, advising clients on framework agreements, collaborations, software purchases, digital transformation projects, cloud migration, and outsourcing.
Key Responsibilities: - Advise on high-value and strategic public procurements, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Provide non-contentious legal advice on a wide range of technology projects, including software purchases, digital transformation projects, cloud migration, and outsourcing.
- Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial contracts, framework agreements, and collaboration agreements.
- Collaborate with the wider technology and commercial team to deliver seamless legal solutions for clients.
- Advise on intellectual property and data protection matters related to technology projects.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and developments in technology, IP, and data protection to provide innovative and practical advice to clients.
Candidate Requirements: - Qualified solicitor in England and Wales with a minimum of 6 years' PQE in commercial law.
- Significant experience advising on technology-related matters, including software purchases, digital transformations, and cloud migrations.
- Strong background in intellectual property and data protection, with the ability to advise on complex legal issues.
- Proven track record of working on high-value public procurements and strategic contracts.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team, demonstrating a proactive and client-focused approach.
