Job summary Fireclay Health is a GP Surgery looking for a clinical coder andsummariser for 20-30 hours per week who can also offer general administrativesupport as required by the organisation.
Main duties of the job The main duties of this role are:To ensure that the electronic medical record fornewly registered patients is accurate and up to date according to informationreceived from their previous GP Surgery.
To update the patients medical record withoperations, procedures, diagnoses and results based upon correspondencereceived into the practice.To ensure correspondence is workflowed according tointernal protocol to the appropriate clinician or team.To ensure practice targets for document workflow andcoding are met.To file hospital letters and documents to thepatients' electronic medical record.To provide any other administrative input asrequired in line with the needs of the organisation.

In addition, theywill provide administrative support as required in line with the needs of theorganisation.
Person Specification Experience Essential Strong IT skills Ability to work accurately and methodically Good attention to detail Ability to work under pressure to achieve targets Willingness to undertake ongoing training as necessary Excellent organisational abilities Effective communications skills Flexible, cooperative & motivated Desirable Previous experience of working in a GP Surgery Experience of working with EMIS & Docman Medical terminology experience or qualifications Qualifications Essential 5 GCSEs grade A to C including English and Maths
