Buoy Yard Electrical Technician Permanent Harwich £29,052.00 - 32,683.00 per annum 37 hours per week Trinity House works for the benefit and safety of all mariners as a General Lighthouse Authority and maritime charity.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to take a primary role in the maintenance and construction of buoyage within our Harwich depot.
Reporting to and working closely with the Buoy Yard Team Supervisor this role will involve building, inspecting, testing and commissioning of complex buoy designs, telemetry systems and associated equipment.
You will also be required to carry out similar electrical maintenance activities on plant, utility systems and equipment across the depot and as requested the wider estate.
A certain amount of organising and planning will be required to fulfil this role as will the ability to write technical reports.
The post will be based in our Harwich Depot, but may involve UK travel and some time away from home.
Some of the duties will involve working in confined spaces and at heights, with the use of appropriate PPE.
We would love to hear from you if you have the following qualifications, skills and experience.
Skills and experience: -A thorough working knowledge and practical experience of working within an electrical/electronic control maintenance role, as well as experience within an installation environment.
-Highly developed IT skills and experience of working with remote monitoring and control systems desirable Qualifications -Level 3 qualification in a relevant discipline or appropriate experience.
-Desirable to have undertaken a recognised apprenticeship scheme in an electrical/electronic discipline or relevant experience.
-18th edition wiring regulations.
