They are responsible for ensuring that all Trust staff have access to wider learning opportunities, to ensure they are knowledgeable and competent to carry out their roles in the delivery and support of high-quality patient care.
The coordinator role will sit within Learning and Development and evenly support two departments: Learning and Development Business Services and the Leadership, Management and Coaching Team.
Within the Learning and Development Business Services department the key focuses of the role will be to oversee, administrate, monitor and report on all study leave applications (including those requesting a funding element), to assist the Business Manager in all areas of income generation for Learning and Development, and to have oversight of training room bookings within the Bristol and Weston educational spaces.The post holder will oversee, develop and review the new Trust Study Leave process and manage the operational administration of the service.
Through the Study Leave policy applicants will access a number of funding streams to provide financial support for their application, such as charitable monies, national funding streams and internal funding.
The post holder will oversee the operational management of training requests through the Study Leave Policy process.
The post holder will coordinate the accurate recording of training requests from submission through to decision by a panel within Learning and Development of relevant stakeholders & experts.
The post holder will be the conduit between the applicant, line manager and panel to ensure the timely and effective response rate to funded training requests, often requiring a rapid turnaround.
The post holder will support the Learning and Development Business Manager in their governance and reporting of the training requests and panel decisions to approve or decline training requests.
