Job summary Senior Radiographer (Bank) Bristol Hospital | Radiology | Bank | Part Time Up to £ per hour depending on experience Main duties of the job As a Bank MRI Radiographer, you will: Be working within our busy, friendly Radiology team, currently with GE Optima 450 wide bore scanner.
Undertake MRI imaging examinations without direct supervision which are informed by, but can vary from departmental protocols, seeking advice where required.
Supervise and develop more junior staff.
Be able to perform imaging examinations with due regard to patient's privacy and dignity and taking into account the supplied clinical information and their physical / mental status.
Remain proficient in the use of all equipment used.
Develop an understanding of local protocols and contribute to referral vetting processes.
Ensure equipment is safe and fit for purpose informing senior staff of any faults.

Our hospital in Bristol: The Chesterfield, specialties include, Orthopedics, Spinal surgery, Oncology, Diagnostic Imaging and General Surgery.
During the Covid-19 pandemic, we have made this hospital available to support NHS trusts for patients on cancer pathways and other urgent conditions.

As a Bank MRI Radiographer, you will: Be working within our busy, friendly Radiology team, currently with GE Optima 450 wide bore scanner.

To succeed as a Bank MRI Radiographer you will need: A BSC degree in diagnostic radiography or equivalent to meet the registration requirements of the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) Competence in IV cannulation and contrast administration.
Dedicated post registration MRI experience relevant to the role.
(Experience with GE MR scanner desirable.)
High levels of technical knowledge and the ability to work quickly and accurately, with a great eye for detail.
A caring nature - to see each patient as an individual and carry out this role with understanding and empathy.
A postgraduate qualification in MRI desirable.
Excellent communication and team working abilities.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential A BSC degree in diagnostic radiography or equivalent to meet the registration requirements of the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) A postgraduate qualification in MRI desirable Experience Essential High levels of technical knowledge and the ability to work quickly and accurately, with a great eye for detail.
