This role is with the NIHR South West Central Regional Research Delivery Network (RRDN), which is hosted by University Hospitals Bristol and Weston (UHBW).
lead the regional 3-year strategic plans and have strategic oversight of the portfoliodevelop strong working collaborations and partnerships with organisations and leaders in health and care research and services in the RRDN region and seek to improve efficiency and effectiveness wherever possible.
line manage and coordinate the work of the teams established to support strategic development of research delivery capability and capacity, Portfolio oversight and RRDN support functionscreate and lead a 3-year RRDN Strategic Implementation Plan in line with the RDN strategic aims.
The RRDN Strategic Implementation Plan will be developed in conjunction with regional partners, including NHSE regional offices, ICSs, HINs, patients and the public and should: (a) include measures to tackle health inequalities; and (b) deliver the objectives of the NIHR Best Research for Best Health and Saving and Improving Lives: The Future of UK Clinical Research Delivery March 2021, Lord O'Shaughnessy's review and any subsequent national reviews and policy directiveswork with the RDN Coordinating Centre in the strategic oversight of the RDN Portfolio.
