Job summary We are recruiting to a Band 7 Lead Mental Health Dietitian position in Bristol, North Somerset, and South Gloucestershire (BNSSG).
It is an ideal post for a motivated dietitian keen to develop a equitable dietetic service over a large geographic area within Mental Health (Adults).You will manage a small team of Dietitians and Dietetic assistants / Dietetic apprentices.
If you are an experienced dietitian with transferrable skills this may be the post for you.The post will be managed by the Head of Nutrition and Dietetics with strong links to AHP Leads and Matrons.This is a fixed term / secondment position and a fantastic opportunity to manage a small team and develop great leadership skills.
Main duties of the job To provide highly specialist mental health dietetics assessment, diagnosis and treatment services to adults across inpatient and community settings.To work collaboratively with the MDT, Clinical Leads and Dietetic Team and liaising with Acute Trusts where necessary.To work as a member of Multidisciplinary Teams across BNSSG to provide coordinated care to service users with a range of longer-term conditions.To provide leadership within the wider Multidisciplinary Team in the area Mental Health Dietetics.To provide training opportunities for the Multidisciplinary Team in all aspects of nutrition and dietetics.To pursue and acquire knowledge and expertise for highly specialist clinical practice with the above client groups.To work closely with the Head of Nutrition and Dietetics, especially with regards to clinical governance, staffing, cover and service provision.
