As an Assistant Director of Human Resources for The Berkeley and The Emory, you will: Assist the Director of Human Resources in advising and guiding all department heads across the Human Resources remit, including recruitment and selection, performance management, employee relations, payroll, reward and recognition.
Lead and develop a team of HR & Recruitment Officers and HR Coordinators, ensure a high level of service delivery to our colleagues, and promote effective communication and knowledge sharing.
Maintain up to date knowledge of best practice and suggest initiatives to enhance our colleague proposition and life cycle.
Support colleagues and department heads so as to achieve retention of talent within the two hotels and Maybourne.
Collaborate with Learning & Development Manager and support various career development and learning initiatives.
Handle employee relation cases and seek advice when required, ensure company policy and best practice is adopted.
Contribute to the strategic direction of the HR function in line with the two hotels' vision, values and goals.
Proactively promote and represent the two hotels and Maybourne externally, maintain a valuable business network and access to the latest information and best practice within the HR arena and industry.
Contribute in maintaining an excellent level of service in conjunction with the minimum requirement of the LQA standards at all times.
Successful candidates for our Assistant Director of Human Resources opportunity are expected to have the following qualities: Demonstrate genuine dedication to The Berkeley and The Emory and commit to drive quality in HR service delivery.
Have worked in a similar role within the hotel or hospitality industry.
Have a well-rounded background across the HR remit and be able to demonstrate proven experience in applying UK employment law.
Excellent IT and administration skills.
Have immaculate personal presentation, with a naturally warm and caring personality.
Accustomed to work in a fast-paced environment and eager to deliver high standard of work with integrity.
Experience within an HR role in a fast-paced environment is desired for this position with strong working skills in MS Office, including Excel is essential.
