Teaching Assistant Opportunity in Portsmouth Secondary School

We are pleased to present an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a thriving secondary school in Portsmouth, starting this September.
This role offers the chance to make a real difference in the lives of young learners while gaining valuable experience in a dynamic educational environment.
Position Summary
The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and students to provide support in the classroom and beyond.
This includes assisting with lesson delivery, working with individual students or small groups, and supervising activities outside of the classroom.
Key Responsibilities
Supporting teachers in the delivery of engaging and effective lessons Working with individual students or small groups to provide targeted support Assisting with the creation and adaptation of learning resources Supervising students during break times and extracurricular activities Maintaining accurate records of student progress and behavior Contributing to a positive and inclusive learning environment
Qualifications and Experience
A passion for education and a commitment to student success Previous experience working with children or young people (preferred) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organizational and time management abilities A willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges
