Warehouse/Procurement Operative

DEPARTMENT: Supply ChainDIVISION: North Star SouthLOCATION: Lowestoft HOURS: 40 MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:Focal point for all inbound / outbound deliveries supporting the North Star South operation.Ensure stores are compliant and maintain the organisation of the facility Maintain Stock ControlProvide support to the purchasing teamREPORTING RELATIONSHIP:Reports to Supply Chain Manager, day-to-day supervision by local team.KEY WORK AREAS RESPONSIBLE FOR:Line checking inbound stock against delivery notes and perform goods receiptsArranging outbound delivery to VesselsMaintain stock control through storage / labeling / counting Ability to create purchase orders to support the Lowestoft BuyersCOMMUNICATIONS:Daily contact with fellow employees and management of North Star Shipping.Daily communication with management, crews, clients and suppliers both verbal and written.QUALIFICATIONS/TRAINING:Forklift license and experience Dangerous goods license Advantageous experience working in a Warehouse environment IT Skills PERSONAL QUALITIES/CHARACTERISTICS:Ability to work on own initiative or part of a team, and under pressureMature, professional approach to workPatience in order to work to tight deadlinesExcellent verbal communication skillsStrong professional skills
