Job summary The Volunteer Coordinator will be the first point of contact for all volunteer enquiries and support within South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, the Coordinator will work closely with colleagues at North Tees to ensure a collaborative working approach to Volunteering.
They will co-ordinate and monitor the provision of volunteers in line with organisational needs and regulatory requirements.
The Volunteer Coordinator will have responsibility for the recruitment and selection process and will continuously monitor volunteer activity and attendance to ensure the effectiveness of the service.
The Volunteer Coordinator will support engagement and networking across the Tees Valley at Recruitment events and support the Nurse Ambassador programme.
They will support all groups of volunteers and ensure the correct support is in place to ensure smooth service for everyone.
Main duties of the job The Volunteer Coordinator will oversee all elements of the volunteering programme.
They will be the first point of contact for all enquiries and volunteers at the Therapeutic Care Team Office.
They will be responsible for completing all recruitment/suitability checks for applicants including - o Application shortlisting o Completion of interviews o Reference checks o Completion of DBS checks o Referrals to occupational health o Monitoring mandatory training compliance About us South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust offers leadership and improvement training to all new staff.
