Job summary Marie Curie are seeking a motivated Volunteer Companion Coordinator to join our patient and family support team in Liverpool.

Main duties of the job As a Volunteer Services Coordinator at Marie Curie, youll oversee the delivery and growth of volunteer services in the South-West, requiring a proactive attitude and experience with volunteers.
Your role will involve coordinating services, managing volunteers both in-person and remotely, and collaborating with stakeholders to enhance service impact.
Additionally, youll be part of the Companion Volunteer Team, focusing on promoting the wellbeing of individuals at the end of life and their loved ones.

Job description Job responsibilities Marie Curie is the UKs leading end-of-life charity.
We are the largest non-NHS provider of end-of-life care in the UK, the only provider across all 4 nations, delivering community nursing and hospice care across the country, while providing information and support on all aspects of dying, death, and leading research pushes the boundaries of what we know about good end-of-life, and our campaigns fight for a world where everyone gets to have the best possible quality of life while living with an illness theyre likely to die from.The care and support we provide is highly valued by the people we care for and their loved ones, but at present we are only reaching around 10% of dying people at the end of now, one in four people in the UK with a terminal illness, do not get the care or support they deserve at the end of their lives.We are recruiting for a Volunteer Companion Coordinator to join our patient and family support team in our Liverpool Hospice.Hours:35 hours per week (permanent / full-time)Location:On-site in our Liverpool Hospice and within the local communitySalary:MCJES Pay Scale D £26,370 - £29,297 per annum pro rata.
Plus, the Marie Curie benefits package.As a Volunteer Companion Coordinator, you will promote Marie Curie services to health and social care professionals in and outside of the organisation to ensure that as many people who require End of Life Care are referred into our service(s).
You will be responsible for setting up and managing the on-going delivery and development of the Companions Service to support people living with a terminal illness and those closest to the.
This will involve building and maintaining key relationships with patients and their families, as well as internal and external stakeholders.
You will support the Head of Volunteering and Volunteer Management Team with the ongoing development of volunteeringA key part of your role will be recruiting volunteers, ensuring they receive a full induction, complete all required training, and are well-supported throughout their time with Marie Curie.
